A quality 1500m runner throughout the junior age groups, Jack transitioned to the 5000m as a senior and within 2 years was crowned 1986 European Champion with a PB of 13:10.15. Under the tutelage of the legendary late coach George Gandy, he went on to compete in 2 Olympic Games, finishing his career with the following PBs:
800m: 1:49.8
1500m: 3:35.28
Mile: 3:51.57
3000m: 7:40.43
5000m: 13:10.15
10000m: 28:13.36
Subsequently, his business CV reads just as impressively, having lead numerous sporting companies and organisations to their most successful periods in recent decades:
