Please do read all the information below as there are some specific requirements in place due to the number of people we are expecting at the track.
Before we get into that though I think you will be all very excited to hear that four mile world record holders will be joining us for the day. Current world record holder Hicham El Guerrouj along with Steve Cram, Nourddine Morceli and Filbert Bayi. They will be joined by other athletics legends including Jo Pavey, Eamonn Coghlan, Shelia Carey and many other Olympians. Representative from England Athletics, UKA and World Athletics will also be in attendance.
Coaches/Guardian for Under 18 and Para Athletes:
Each under 18 or para athlete is permitted one coach or guardian to accompany them through the registration process. Para athletes may have an additional support if required. All coaches or guardians will have to register with the team at the registration desk and will receive a wrist band. This will allow the coach to accompany their athlete into the call room and out of the facility while they are warming up if needed.
Supporters/spectators:
Spectators are more than welcome and it is free to come along. We have sold out of our guaranteed entry before 3pm tickets but there are still many walk up tickets available, so please do not worry. Just turn up early to avoid disappointment.
All spectators will need to enter via the southern gate. Athletes only enter via the northern gate and through registration. Please see the attached map.
Call room:
We will be operating a call room for the meeting. This will be positioned in the cricket schools (where registration will be) and athletes will be required to report 15min before the start of their race. Please do not be late!
Warm up:
There will be no room on the track to warm up and so athletes are advised to warm up on Meadow Lane to the south of the track (see map). All athletes and coaches will receive a wristband which will allow them to exit and enter the track to warm up.
Toilets:
Facilities for athletes will be available in the grandstands. Additional toilets for athletes and spectators will be available at the rugby ground by the spectator entrance. See map for more information.
Food and drink
Will be available on the in-field all day, along with activities, World Athletics museum, and brand activations. If you purchased any official merchandise this will be available to collect from the Ponnek stand, and look out for the official programme available from the OUAC team.
