Overview: This talk will describe the most common ovarian hormone profiles experienced by female athletes and the possible implications of these differing hormonal milieus on exercise performance. Particular attention will be paid to the research landscape and the quality and quantity of the evidence. Lastly, the current state of the art will be translated into current and future applied recommendations for sportswomen.
