The 4th Grand Prix of the year is at Trafford on the 23rd of July is shaping up to be a fantastic meet in prospect

This comes three days before the end of the qualifying period for the European Championship, presenting a final chance for qualification. Anyone interested in chasing qualification should enter online, for more race details please contact STEVE GREEN. The entry is already very strong with lead entries in the men’s 800m of Elliot Giles 01:43.63, Jamie Webb 01:44.14, Ben Pattison 01:45.16, Thomas Staines 01:45.28, Piers Copeland 01:45.77.

In the women’s equivalent Georgie Hartigan 02:00.18 will be looking for the first sub-2 mins of the BMC season. She will be up against Issy Boffey, Nadia Power and Holly Archer.

The women’s 1500m has German 4.07 athlete and Olympian Caterina Granz up against Britain’s Hannah Nuttall who is looking for a sub 4:10 clocking.

Also shaping up as a classic race is the women’s 5000m with Verity Ockenden 15:03.51,, Calli Thackery, Annabel Simpson 15:06.26, Izzy Fry 15:21.32, Eloise Walker 15:31.26 leading the domestic entries. Spanish champion Marta Garcia Alonso and Aussie Georgia Hansen in the field mean this could be a classic domestic encounter.

Strong steeplechase races feature Mark Pearce 8:24.83, Jonathan Hopkins 08:30.52, William Battershill 08:31.89,  the Brits will be joined by 8:29 man Jakub Abrahamsen of Denmark and Liam Cassin, part of a big Aussie contingent, who is a 8:30 operator.

The women’s field is led by  Maisie Grice 10:04.91.

Entry: Opens on 01 April 2022. Initially only available for BMC members.

Entry Fees on entry: Members £10. Non Members £25. This includes entry into the stadium.  (Please note all entry fees are non-refundable)
