Irish Milers Club members
Irish Milers Club. The BMC has a reciprocal arrangement with the IMC in that IMC members will be treated as BMC members for race entry. The current IMC subs position is always taken into account. If you do not have your IMC membership number next to your name, either on the entry confirmation E-mail or on the start lists then you have not paid your IMC subs and will either have your entry deferred or you will be charged the non-members entry fees. Please contact Niamh Cummins for clarification.

No longer running?
As we expect all the Grand Prix meetings are going to be over-subscribed, it means we will have to turn athletes away. If you have already entered and can no longer compete please can you inform the person that your entry went to. This will not only allow another athlete to compete but can also mean that several athletes could be moved up a race (from C to B, D to C, E to D, etc. We consider this a matter of courtsey, both to the organisers and to your fellow athletes.

Start Lists
To withdraw, queries, etc to Steve Mosley E-mail.
Athletes marked with "**" next to their name may be behind in there subs. Please see Pat Fitzgerald at the venue BEFORE collecting your number.

CAN Laura Weightman claim a third successive personal best in the finale of the British Milers’ Club Grand Prix in Cardiff on Saturday?
The 19-year-old Morpeth Harrier smashed her personal best by three seconds with a sparkling time of 4mins 09.60secs to win the 1500m at Gateshead Harriers' Tartan Games last weekend. That bettered the PB she clocked on her debut on the big stage at the Crystal Palace Diamond League meeting the previous weekend when she ran 4:12.95 and lifts the World Junior Championships finalist to sixth in the UK Rankings.
“I can hardly believe my time,” said a delighted Weightman.
With Emma Jackson, who has impressed so much over 800m this summer, Emelia Gorecka, Catherine Riley also in the field plus Kenyan Sally Kipego, who has run 4:07 this year, the women’s 1500m is shaping up to be one of the best of the evening in the Welsh capital.
The men’s 800m sees UK No 3 and top Wales two-lapper Gareth Warburton, with a personal best of 1:46.47 from the Crystal Palace Diamond League, looking to polish up his preparations for the Commonwealth Games in India.
An interesting addition to the 800m field will be James Thie, who has been selected to represent Wales in the 1500m in Delhi.
“I feel I am in great shape and this is a great opportunity for me. I know I have the experience to do well in India and I’m really looking forward to it,” said the 32-year-old Cardiff AC runner. “I really feel I have a big 800m in me especially after the Sydney Wooderson Memorial 800m at the BMC meeting in Eltham when I ran 1:50.11, my fastest time outdoors in seven years and quickest since I ran 1:50.07 indoors in 2005.”
Thie’s 2003 PB is 1:49.82, set in the BMC Solihull race and while that won’t worry Warburton he feels that the time is definitely under threat.
The women’s 800m field is headed by 22-year-old Danielle Christmas, whose PB of 2:02.54 at the Palace lifted her to 13th in the UK Rankings while Tara Bird (2:03.21) won’t be far behind
